Tom McClintock

CA-04-R

Tom McClintock represents the 4th Congressional district in California, which covers the north Sierra Nevada Mountains, including the cities of Amador and El Dorado as well as the Sequoia National Forest. Originally representing Ventura County in the State Senate, Tom McClintock does not and has never lived in the 4th District. Although his district is one of tremendous natural beauty and exposed to severe wildfire danger, McClintock denies human-caused climate change and has repeatedly opposed action to address climate change. The fact that he’s collected more than $200,000 dollars in campaign donations from fossil fuel industries might explain his reticence to accept climate science. A longtime opponent of marriage equality, in 2019, McClintock voted to allow LGBTQ Americans to be fired and denied housing solely because of who they love. He has consistently voted against legislation to provide health care coverage to his constituents, including the Affordable Care Act and its expansion of Medicaid/MediCal. CA-04 residents deserve a representative who will finally stand up for them.

How We Can Win

It starts with you. Together, we can restore the promise of America and start to reverse the damage done by Trump and his Republican enablers in the House and Senate. Together, we prevent a far right wing takeover of the U.S. Supreme Court. Together, we win.
