In the most important election cycle of his life, Danny DeBare is pausing his political and spanish studies at Pomona College to work with Flip the West. Ironically, Danny realized his passion for American politics while on his gap year in Ecuador, when he devoured five New York Times daily briefings instead of gossiping with his teacher colleagues during lunch. After arriving at school, Danny mobilized his college community to canvas for Gil Cisneros on the weekends, and phone bank during the weekdays. After the 2018 midterms, Danny found his political home with JStreet U, the organizing wing of the left Israel organization JStreet. He built the campus chapter into a force of 25 active members and successfully ran multiple campaigns. Danny is honored to work with such an inspiring group of volunteers and staff at Flip the West who pour their hearts and souls into this work.
